Caleb W. CliffNumbers were far more interesting than reading when I was young, I didn't start reading for my own enjoyment until 18, though I did enjoy creative writing through much of high school and took a class in college too. Around 4 years of age I became obsessed with drawing dinosaur bones which spawned a vast interest in drawing. For a short time when I was 6, my Mother let me join in her water color class and these young experiences profoundly effected my interest in art. Throughout my life the music of my whole family was often playing and I definitely knew what I liked, enjoyed singing, a fairly typical childhood experience.
Then in the beginning of 11th grade (1992) my girlfriend at the time played guitar and had a band, and she was also into rad music such as the Verve, Slowdive, Pavement, the Velvet Undergound, Blur, Spiritualized and so much more. Needless to say, this got me curious about trying guitar, and bass. My stepmother had a guitar in the house and by Christmas I asked for and received a bass. Since my Pop Pop was a loving and generous grandfather, he rewarded us well over the holidays. To this day I still use the same guitar, bass, and drumset I was given in high school. These were the formative days for many years to come of music to be made. I thank you for finding your way here and hope you enjoy your stay.... |
